Scientific shield: Biolotechnology.
Summary:
Biomechanica is a scientific knowledge area that study cinematic and mechanic phenomenoms that
are in complex systems formed by tissues, solids and mechanic bodies.
The IBV (Instituto de biomecànica de Valencia) have been developed a brain-computer system to
help persons with brain palsy to communicate better.
This system can be controlled with an app that we can download with android. Brain palsy afect lots
of persons in the world and it can be an incredible advance. It consists in four independent modules
based on the latest advances in neuronal signal processing, computer assisted alternative
communication and monitoring of biosignals.
This system has been proved and it works perfectly. A little boy could express all his necessities any
with this computer.
Critical appraissal
How we see in the article, we arre improving in the palsy illnesses and finally we are going to get
immortals. Humanity is training to eradicate whatever "stone" that interpose in the middle of the
health. Years ago all the people thought that nervous illnesses has no any cure but we achieved that a paralytic person walks again. So my question is, where's the limit of medicine? Will we be immortals when science discover all what it can? I think it's so difficult but I'm sure that we will be stronger in future and almost no illness could affect us.
