CMC´S NEWS' REVIEW (II)
Scientific shield: 3D printers and biology
Date: 20/10/2014
Summary
Scientists have done an incredible medical advance, they create the first implant of a vertebra made with a 3D printer. The patient was a kid who has got a cancer. Scientists don't know how will the artificial vertebra behave in his body but maybe, this will be the future of the implants. They are trying to do that the artificial and natural vertebras works together. The vertebra was do with micropores and scientist say that is not necessary to fix it with any screw, it will be another part of the patient´s body, like all the other vertebras.

Critical Appraisal
I think is a very good notice because it´s a great solution if it works good. We can do some bones with a 3D printer who can change the life of persons who has broken her leg, her arm, a finger...
It´s like a cyborg of science fiction filmes in the real life. Science is always improving and think that this new idea will work perfectly.
